Your next 12 months

Your slow window

Feb → Apr

3 months with no crew on a job. That’s about 6 jobs you won’t build.

Ads need to be live by

Dec 1 7 weeks from today

Leads you need by then

126 about 42 a month, Dec–Feb

Why the lag matters

February is decided in December.

A lead today is a job 8 weeks from now. By the time it feels slow, it’s too late for ads to fix it.

  1. Lead comes in. You call back the same day.

    Week 0

  2. Site walk, then the bid goes out.

    Weeks 1–3

  3. They sign. Permits, plans, deposit.

    Weeks 4–7

  4. Crew breaks ground. Leads from Dec start in Feb.

    Week 8

126 leads: you do 24 jobs a year, so 2 a month. 3 slow months = 6 jobs. At about 21 leads per signed job (leads calculator defaults: 1 in 3 leads is a real buyer, you sign 15%), 6 × 21 = 126. The slow window assumes you start ads only once it feels slow: lead-to-start weeks plus about a month for ads to get going.
