How we got this

Jobs first. Then money.

Start with the work you want, not the budget you’re scared of. Four steps you can check on a napkin.

  1. You want 18 jobs a year from ads. That’s 1.5 a month.

    18 ÷ 12 = 1.5

  2. 1 in 20 ad leads signs. You need 30 a month.

    1.5 ÷ 0.05 = 30

  3. At about $50 a lead, that’s your spend.

    30 × $50 = $1,500

  4. Each job costs $1,000 in ads. It pays $60,000.

    $60,000 ÷ $1,000 = $60

Cost per lead moves with your town, your trade and the season. The trade prices above are starting guesses, not data: use what you actually pay. Expect the first 60 days to cost more while the ads learn.
